international and mobile calls. Pricing structure varies and this can make it
difficult for you to work out which supplier offers you the best deal. We do
that for you.

make your telephone calls, We guarantee that we will find you the very best
value for your money.

Factors to consider
when choosing your broadband provider:
Internet Usage
-
What kind of tasks will you be carrying out using the internet?
e.g.: downloading large music and video files, simply sending text emails
etc…
Each time you read an email, view a web page or listen to a music file on
the internet you are downloading data. Each time you send an email or search
for a web page, you are uploading data. The way you use the internet will
determine which type of broadband account is best suited to your needs.

‘Download Limit’
This is essentially a cap on the amount of material you can download
from the internet per month. Some broadband providers include a
‘download limit’ in their contracts and charge an additional fee for any
downloads over your specified limit. The download limit is determined by
the plan you sign up for.

Broadband Customer Support Issues
When choosing a broadband service provider, we advise customers to
consider the following factors with regard to customer support:
-
If you are using a PC from home, most broadband
companies will offer you customer support. Most companies also provide
support to MAC users, however please note not all companies offer this
service. Only the minority of broadband providers supply support to
users of Linux systems. We advise that if you are using either MAC or
Linux systems to please check with your service provider before you
sign-up for their broadband package.
-
Will your provider offer 24 hour customer service
or will you have to pay a call-out charge? Some companies do not
charge for call-outs. Some charge a local fee while others can charge quite high
prices. Some companies offer online support, where they will deal with
your query by email.
Many companies offer support via telephone. You should find out if
they are available for support from 9am – 5pm only or 24 hours a day?
What are their charges for the telephone call? Prices can range from
free calls to local rate, national rate or up to 50c per minute.
